HAZEN — Jessica M. Mosbrucker Merck, 31, Hazen, died Dec. 30, 2009, as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, at Church of St. Mary, Bismarck, with the Revs. Paul Eberle and Gene Lindemann officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, beginning at 6:30 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Jessica was born June 8, 1978, in Bismarck, the daughter of Mark and Pam (Neff) Becker. She attended Bismarck schools, graduating from St. Mary’s Central High School in 1996. She then attended Bismarck State College, receiving a degree in power plant technology. Jessica married Chad Mosbrucker on June 12, 1999, in Bismarck. From this marriage, Jessica gave birth to her son, Landen, on Sept. 6, 2000. Jessica worked at Frontier Refinery in Cheyenne, Wyo. In July 2002, she moved to Hazen and was currently employed with Great River Energy in Stanton. Jessica married Michael Merck on July 18, 2008, in Bismarck. Jessica’s son, Landen, was the love, pride and joy of her life. She loved watching Landen participate in sporting events, especially hockey. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, shopping and traveling. Jessica enjoyed life and sharing many memories with friends and family. It was important to her to be the best mother. She was very generous and caring to all. She is survived by her son, Landen, Hazen; her parents, Mark and Patricia Becker, Bismarck, and Matt and Pam Vetter, Riverdale; her brothers, Jeremy (Erica) Becker, Waupun, Wis., and Joshua Becker, Christopher Becker and Justin Becker, all of Bismarck; her sisters, Cassandra Becker, Bismarck, Shelley (Doug) Frengel, Mandan, Shari Vetter, Bismarck, and Tori Vetter, Bismarck; her niece, Mya Becker, Waupun; her nephew, Dylan Depee, Bismarck; her grandparents, Roger “Max†and Lorraine Neff, Bismarck, Lois Becker, Bismarck, and Viola Eberle, Hague; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Louis Becker and Joseph M. Eberle.
